GMPROG1 - Game Programming 1

Here in GMPROG1, this is where I started learning to use the application UNITY. Here are the projects I've learned and made in using Unity.

Game On Project:

Elevator Action:
We are task to do a game similar with elevator action, we can do it either in 3D or 2D no score mechanism.

Our professor test us on how much knowledge we have when it comes in programming. He gave us a task where in we will make a game similar with elevator action, where in there are platforms moving up, down and left and right. (In the project I made, well no left and right )

Preparation for the coming Unity Game Jam, we held a mini game jam where in we are going to create a game within 3 hours and the theme is all about "Styro".

Below is one of our activities, where in we are going to design our own city. Here's a screenshot of my city.
Textures not owned by me. :)

Here's 1 of our quiz: Similar with space invaders thingy ;)

Here, we are thought by our professor the basic movements for a character, how to fire and how to move a platform up and down.

APLIPHY - Applied Physics in Games

Compilation of my works in APLIPHY

Image 1

In image 1, we are task to make a program and graph our chosen equations as long as Parabola: upward and downward, SINE graph, COSINE graph, Logarithmic Function Graph and Exponential Function Graph is involved.

Video 1

Here in video 1, it's one of our quest we have to make a bouncing ball showing the way of its direction or where the ball is facing.
For clearer view of the video here's a link : Bouncing Ball

Video 2

Here in video 2, it shows our midterm exam, it's all about projectiles. The exam has two parts, Projectile 1.0, a red cube on a fixed position will fire from the left, its bullet has four varying distance/range, it is up to us how far or near it will fire. The yellow box has only 1 health. Next, projectile 2.0, Same with projectile 1.0 only differ in number of enemies, now here we have a stack of 5 enemies with varying health from 1 - 4 and in here we can adjust it's distance/range and it is not fix in only 4 distance.

Here in image 2 shows one of our quiz in this subject where in we are going to graph a given equation plus a circle or sphere is moving along on each graph.

Here in video 3 it shows our car simulation activity.

Game On 2012

Our entry for the Game On 2012
Game Title: The Last Stand: The Battle Of Tirad Pass
Team : Five Keys
Members: Jamaica Balbin(me), Mark Antolin, Steven Escarlan, John Mark Herrera and Jermilyn Javier.

Here are some screenshots of our game:

Here's a link where you can watch the game play of our game :)

Here's also a link where you can plat our game:
To play the game Unity Web Player must be installed.
Best played in Mozilla, so my suggestion is install web player in Mozilla and play it there :)

UNITY Game Jam 2012

This is the game we made for the UNITY Game Jam held in De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde

TITLE: Survivors
Team: 3Js and 1A
Members: Jomar Aguila, Jonyx Macabuhay, Al Edison De La Cruz and Jamaica Balbin(Me)

Our game is a survival game, where in you have to survive in the wilds on a certain time, you need to hunt for your food and kill some wild animals for your safety.

Here are some screenshots of our game:

Here's the video of our game:
Enjoy!

ARTINTE - Artifcial Intelligence for Game Developers

Here in this subject, we are thought some of the most important information about AI.

Below are the all activities where in we really applied our programming skills and knowledge about AI

In the first 3 images, we practice coding how states work :)

The images below shows the application we used where we practice our AI skills, how our mind works when it comes to AI

This is where we put conditions on the AI ship we created. This is where we plan our tactics/strategies or what the ship will do.

ANIPRIN - ANimation Principles

Here's the compilation for my ANIPRIN subject.
We are task to create one character uniquely and originally designed by us. This character will be used all throughout the term in this subject.

Here in ANIPRIN we are thought by some of the Principles of Animation: Squash and Stretch, Anticipation, Exaggeration, Timing and Arcs, Overlapping and Secondary Action, and Slow in and Slow out.

Materials Used: Animation Papers, pencils, animation disk and animation table.

After finishing all the drawings we are task to line test our drawings to see the animation for each drawing we made!

The video below is the compilation of all my drawings in this subject. *Line Tested already

GAMDATA - Database Concepts for Game Developers

GAMDATA
Professor: Sir Norman Lee

Here are some screenshots of what we have done in this subject. We basically study SQL, what are databases etc. Learning the 4 basic SQL statements: Select, Insert, Delete and Update. We also analyze some RPG or MMORPG games, why data base are important, why storing data are important etc.

We've also watched the movie Firewall(2006) directed by Richard Loncraine. The significance of this movie is that we are given a task to analyze the movie and tell why data is important, what are the risks if it is not safely stored.

Here are some screenshots of what we have done in this subjects. Some screenshots of our exercises and the websites which guide us in learning SQL.

In this image: http://www.sql-ex.ru/ -This is where we totally applied what we've learned in this subject.
